In moments of unforeseen circumstances, calling on God by the title He has proven Himself to be, can remind us exactly who we put our trust in. Our God is a God who never changes, and therefore can be trusted to manifest in our lives as He has in the past.

He abideth faithful
Even when you fail Him, He does not fail you. If you truly are a member of Christ’s body, then He can never and will never deny you, for that amounts to denying Himself.
Raw
Here I am. Raw, broken, and gross, but here I will always be. Willing and desperate for an eternity to know You.
Quiet, sylvan, constant (Confessions part III)
There will, after all, be a day,
A burning, sylvan, quiet day, in which
I step out of this dark wood and into
the light, to see the stars, and the great moon.
When He breathed life into our bones
You’ve never felt a silence quite so loud as this, a silence weaving in and out of rotting skulls that lay decaying, a silence rendering multitudes hauntingly wordless in the scorched heat.

Joy, Deeply Felt (Confessions part II)
Happiness is fleeting and small, and while joy is everlasting and immense, it would also be empty—in fact, it would not be itself—were it not for its desired, God.
Dear Jesus
Forgive me. Forgive them. We are falling apart.
But one thing brings us together; one thing lifts us up; one thing strengthens us: hope.
And that hope comes from You.
Following Him
Day by day, I feel more exposed before my Creator, as He reveals layers of sins and strongholds I must surrender to Him. Without His loving guidance, I would be full of shame, guilt, and condemnation. With Him, I realize this is the process of refinement. It’s His promise, His process in action, to present us holy, as He is holy.
Worthy
It’s ironic that the church, the holy space where saints gather to worship a glorious Lord, has always simultaneously been the place where the dark symptoms of sin stand in the glaring spotlight to me. But that’s the funny thing about faith—as much as I am tempted to lose hope because of sin, God’s grip on my soul will never let me go.
The love of the Father
A good Father would not only let their children experience good things, but a good Father would also let their children go through difficult situations that teach important lessons.
